Apologies in advance for the brevity of this post. Between launching a new comic blog (cough: blatant plug, cough) and my son being sick again, (must be the cough going around) I didn’t have time to write a great post.
However, there’s no reason that we can’t turn my crappy lack of content into something good.
So, I pose a question to you all in hopes of starting some conversation and providing some useful tips to others.
What works for you when it comes to weight loss?
I’ve done fitness training and walking in the past and both have moderate levels of success. Working out gave me strength and stamina, though didn’t help me burn as much as I would have liked. However, to be fair, I was not behaving the full time, either.
Funny thing about stamina. You don’t really realize how little you have until you really press yourself (or when you get winded reaching for a donut).
Walking has helped a bit with keeping me from gaining, but I’ve never done it long enough to truly get great results.
My brother has had great success with walking and other exercise, having lost more than 100 pounds in less than a year! However, he’s also had some food issues which keep him from eating many things, so it’s hard to say where most of his success comes from.
So, what works best for you? And what has not worked too well? Feel free to be thorough as you like when it comes to routines (listing time and repetitions, etc…)
