  1. @ Tara – your weight will likely go up and down a bit. Look at the over all stats – still showing a loss. Keep it up girlfriend!

@Dave – oh pasta – it gets us sometimes. You’re doing great though!

I haven’t done much before to loose weight. Perhaps that’s a benefit to my trying this time…

Down 1.3 lbs from last week. Details in the CommentLuv link.

  2. Tara, I’m with you on the gain thing… gained a pound last week but I know why – cos I was rubbish! I need to get my arse in gear for my goal of being a fit and healthy 40 but during the past couple of weeks I seem to have lost my motivation. Must be the season for it! Keep going and we’ll get there!
Dave – weird things to loose weight? I did that cabbage soup thing once – yuk! And one day when expecting a visit from an errant boyfriend I didn’t eat all day so I would have a flat tummy! Which was stupid because there was nothing of me then… an 18 year old’s logic!
Sorry to see Dave F is going… hope you guys can keep this one going. I confess to too much blogging at times and have now put myself on restriction at certain times… it’s too addictive!

You did the Cabbage soup diet! I didn’t think I’d meet anyone in my lifetime who’d ever done that. I thought it was a myth!
DW and I are keeping going because we need to go somewhere every week to keep us motivated – and we’re too cheap to pay for WeightWatchers!

You mean you didn’t like all of that cabbage? When I was eating it, that’s all I was eating. I guess it wasn’t all that healthy, but I did lose weight. However, that was back in the early 90s and I just can’t bring myself to do the cabbage thing again.

  3. Strangest weight-loss? You mean aside from throwing up for a solid month during a break-up? Lost 20 pounds over that one. Um, I tried the Suzanne Sommers diet. High fat, high protein, zero wheat. I lost weight, but I was afraid of the overall health implications.

Tara, there is a time and place for everything. Understandable you focusing your energy elsewhere. It will all balance out in the end.

No weight stats today. See my commentluv for why. However, I am going the 100 push up challenge, so here’s my stats for that:

From the knee push ups (can’t seem to do plank ones!) maximums/day:
    Day 1 – 3
    Day 2 – 5
    Day 3 – 6
    Day 4 – 9

    Ah yes, the heartbreak diet.
There is a girl who works at my son’s afterschool club and she has lost so much weight on that diet and she looks amazing. Miserable as hell, but she looks great!

Your ‘diet’ experience speaks volumes about what we are trying to do here – it’s all about a lifestyle change and making sure it fits in with every day and not have any worrying health implications.

  4. Yeah, I’m getting worse. I think I’ve been nervous eating. Unfortunately, it hasn’t involved apples and oranges. At least I’m aware.

  5. I got 4 more pounds of water weight off so that brings the 11 pound gain down 5 pounds all together….My walking is getting much better and the pain is truly localized now, it is just constant…getting 6-7 hours of uninterrupted sleep a night is helping too.

I am off in 5 minutes to get a massage which I think will truly help significantly
Blood pressure is getting closer to normal range everyday.

    Lots of good signs.

I just did the stupidest thing to lose weight. I ordered Acai supplement and Colon Cleanse free 15 day trial off someone’s blog…..paid for the mail…now I am going to have to get a lawyer to turn the spigot off…for not canceling within 10 days of shipment date. They are sending me a month supply for $78.84 – if they will give me a return mail number/which they will not because I am canceling….they will give me back $60.00
You should see these two little bottles….for all this money…and they turn out to be the same thing you could get at your local pharmacy/ grocery store for $1.50 or so and no one needs a Colon cleanse that is not based on eating real food….This is about $.50 worth of green tea in a fancy medicine bottle….Be ware….

I called my lawyer this morning $300 retainer but I assume she will have the monthly orders stopped by today….BEWARE….a stupid decision…and I haven’t even used or opened the bottles…
    What was I thinking?

Lots of good news there Patricia. That’s great!

What were you thinking with the **aye aye aye** colon cleanse? Makes me wince just thinking about it. That’s one expensive lesson to learn. You should have to come to us first – we’re free.

  6. I’m down a pound from last week and made it to the gym 6 days out of 7.

Craziest thing to lose weight? – Karen swears that I lost all that weight back in the mid 90s from starving myself on the cabbage soup diet. I thought it was from working out almost every day for nine months. We’re probably both right.

See the CommentLuv link for more on my week.

Another Cabbage soup dieter. I can’t believe it, two in one place!
I’m guessing it wasn’t the most popular diet with your other halves . . .

Not with my wife, it wasn’t, though she was pretty heroic about making up all that soup. I wouldn’t think of asking her to do it these days.
