  1. “I imagine myself lying on the beach, fabulous outfit on, neat little toes painted hot pink and the sun beating down on my (factor 30′d, obviously) legs.”

    So does Fowler.

I gained a couple of the posts I lost due to many celebrations. I am back to no sugar, so things should be back to normal soon enough.

First: Congrats, Tara, the visualisation seems to work wonders! I bought a fitness magazine and placed it on the kitchen table a few days ago, but nothing has changed so far. My GP gave me the all-clear to get going again. What a shame. So here I am:

Starting weight Wednesday 20 May: 136 pounds
How many pounds left to lose: 11

  3. Last week was doing battle with the medical system and very angry because the 18 pound gain with the medication in March – last 5 pounds of that was not budging and my trip to Scotland walking tour was canceled for lack of sign ons….I can not zip 2 pair of my summer clothing slacks ( well they have tie waistbands not zippers) for the extra weight.
Today I am down 1 more pound of the extra weight and just feeling more comfortable. I am on a new tour of castles which has time in Wales, and England – 3 days by myself in London which will be nice. This tour has no walking aspects other than in the castles and only breakfasts provided. I must figure out money now for food.
My plan was to be down 40 pounds from October to July and in great shape for the tour and my 60th birthday. Pulling a muscle was not on my list at all.
It is all going to work out…
Glad you are still here and working on the issues…and bits

  4. We’re still on the road, currently near Hershey, Pennsylvania. We spent the day driving around Amish country and Karen spent a bit in quilting fabric shops.

Another weekend visiting family — in-laws, this time — and eating too much. This next weekend will be a proper travel weekend for us. We’ll be doing some hikes, hopefully, as well as a cave tour at Mammoth Cave National Park.

Next week, we sould be back home and I should be able to do a status post along with what my weight has done on this trip. My belt buckle is still on the last hole, but it seems just a tad tighter than last week.

It looks like it may be getting a lot harder for me to get quality time in at the gym. For detail, click on the commentluv link.
